Track Your Tasks from Gmail

From within your Gmail account, keeping track of things you need to do is now official, as “Tasks” recently graduated from Gmail Labs.

In December 2008, “Tasks” was announced as a feature in Gmail Labs, to enable you have sight on stuffs to execute while checking or composing your emails. This feature which appears at the bottom right of your Gmail account like the “Chat” feature can be popped out as a separate window and is very easy to use.

Until recently, you could choose to add “Tasks” to your Gmail to test the feature and report bugs, but from now on, it is definitely part of your account.

How use "Tasks"
  • The "Tasks" feature is accessed by clicking the “Tasks” link on the left menu, just below the “Contacts” link. Then a small window appears on the bottom right of your Gmail account with tittle "Tasks: Smith's List" (Where Smith is the name of your Google account).
  • By default, two empty tasks are loaded. Just click on any and add what you have to do. After hitting the return key, your entry is automatically saved.
  • The "Action" menu offers you the possibility to "Indent", "Move Up", or "Edit Details" among others.
