Google's web browser "Google Chrome" turned 1 year old on September 2, 2009. From my small personal experience, I realy feel much has been done in developing this software which offers a comfortable browsing experience -- less buttons, wider display space, cool themes etc etc -- though many websites on the internet are not compatible with this browser especially in termes of displaying information.Much of it's core being inspired from Mozilla Firefox, a question would be to know if Chrome will one day turn all Mozilla users in to its fans. This interogation prompted me to make some findings about web browser usage stats which reveal the following summary.
According to w3schools.com, between September 2008 through August 2009, Chrome usage hase increased from 3.1% to 7.0% while StatCounter.com shows an increase from 1.03% to 3.41%.

Regardless the methods used to determine the above figures (many more available through other services), the general perception is that Chrome has much work to do if it wants to meet with other top browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer (IE), which happens to be the most used web browser in the world. Besides, it is argued that IE turns out first because it comes along with the most used computer operating system: Windows.
So one should not be surprised if Google Chrome browser marks significant improments in web usage soon after the release of the Google Chrome Operating System (OS) and more importantly by the time the OS is available for any computer system.
Happy birthday Chrome browser and wishes that you become better every day again.
